Over the past several months the Vitruvius development and engineering teams have put together a new plugin to facilitate the development of bearing walls.
Reinforced load-bearing walls are used to support gravity loads of elements above as well as lateral loads resulting from soil pressures, wind, or seismic pressures. With this plugin, you can design multi-span singly or doubly reinforced bearing concrete and masonry walls for axial compression and lateral out-of-plane loads. Includes estimated material takeoffs. For more information on the Vitruvius Bearing Wall plugin please see the support walkthrough.
The Vitruvius Bearing Wall Plugin is just one of many exciting improvements and additional components we hope to continue adding to the Vitruvius Project platform.
This plugin is currently in Open BETA and free to use. Please let us know at support@thevitruviusproject.com if you find any bugs or issues that need addressing. We are open to feedback and appreciate your support. This module is not intended for commercial use at this time.
